A Ramble House 10-Cent Book (#30)

THE HOUSE OF RAMBLE

Fender Tucker

Built by Major Horace Tarwater in Washington D.C. the edifice that is RAMBLE HOUSE features in a series of epic novels by Harry Stephen Keeler, master of the webwork novel. In this book Fender Tucker traces the history of RAMBLE HOUSE from its early days during the American Civil War to its role in several time travel experiments spanning the 20th Century and beyond. In the end it's a case of travelling full circle: RAMBLE HOUSE, star rooming-house in Keeler's books, is moved brick by brick to Shreveport, Louisiana, where it becomes the publishing headquarters of a dedicated group bringing the books of Harry Stephen Keeler and other writers back to the world.
