RICHARD A. LUPOFF
I was visiting Bill Pronzini at his house in Petaluma CA when another book person shows up: Dick Lupoff. It was a surprise to me but I knew I had heard the name before. He had written a biography of Edgar Rice Burroughs that I had read some time in the past. It was probably the most fortuitous meeting that Ramble House ever had. We became friends and fellow editors of many books and if I had as much gumption and energy as the guy who sometimes pitches for the Oakland As, there would be many more books. But in the meantime, check out the Surinam Turtle books here at Ramble House. Dick worked on every one of them.
